Bhavana has a master’s degree in biomedical engineering and previously worked at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she focused on genome editing, organoid modeling, and computational analysis to better understand retinal diseases. 

At the READY Center, Bhanva works on engineering iPSC lines using CRISPR-based genome editing to model genetic variations associated with disease states.

Outside of the lab, she enjoys spending time in nature and exploring new restaurants and cafés around San Fransico.
